Reno, Nevada, June 27, 2008 – Safety Management Group President Kent Burget and Safety Advisor Robb Tinney completed presentations at the third annual Silver State Governor’s Safety Conference (SSGSC) in Nevada last month.
The conference offered three days of seminars and workshops at the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino in Reno beginning June 25th. Subject matter ranged from Agro Terrorism, Fire Protection for Restaurants, AED Essentials, and Managing Human Error Risks.
Kent Burget presented on the subject of construction safety management processes. Robb Tinney offered two presentations on loss control audits. Both seminars were well-attended. Safety Management Group was also represented with a booth in the exhibition area.
This year’s SSGSC focused on strategies for companies, employees and employers to prevent workplace mishaps and improve safety conditions in the State of Nevada. The conference is focused on the safety of building, mining, manufacturing and general industry.
According to the SSGSC, “This is an essential conference for safety and related professionals, opening with a remembrance for all the lives lost so far this year to industry accidents.”
