Guardian Fall Protection Issues Stop Use Notice

 As a result of Guardian Fall Protection's dedication to providing superior products and a total commitment to safety, Guardian has determined that certain Edge Series Retractable lifeline(s) require factory inspection or in-the-field inspection by a Guardian Territory Manager.
Guardian has issued a 'Stop Use and Inspection' notice on the cable Guardian Edge Series Retractables 20ft. and longer (this notice does not affect the Edge 11ft. models or the Edge 20ft. web models). If a Guardian Territory Manager is unable to inspect the unit in the field the affected units must be returned to the factory for inspection.
Required Action for Distributor:
1. Identify customers who have purchased the affected by/involved units. Guardian has provided a list of units purchased by your company to include affected Serial Numbers and Drop Ship information. If you prefer, on your behalf, Guardian can contact your end users and arrange return of affected units or schedule a Guardian Territory Manager to inspect the affected units.
2. Send a copy of the 'Stop Use and Inspection' notice (forwarded by Guardian) to the users you have identified by June 1, 2006.
3. Remove inventory affected by this 'Stop Use and Inspection' notice and take the following steps:
Required Action for Customers with Affected Units
Only Guardian Territory Managers are authorized to field-inspect the units and issue Certificates of Inspection on-site. All other inspections shall occur by sending the Edge Series Retractable Lifelines on this notice to Guardian's Kent, WA factory.

Return of Affected Units to Guardian Factory:
Distributors and End-Users with affected units are instructed to contact Guardian Customer Service if they have any questions. Guardian will issue a Return Inspection Number (RIN Number) to facilitate and expedite the inspection process. Freight will be paid by Guardian.
