Indianapolis – Safety Management Group’s Mark Steinhofer was named to the Indiana Occupational Safety Standards Commission (IOSSC) this week.
The IOSSC is a commission created by the legislature to promulgate, modify or revoke safety and health standards in Indiana and to hear and determine applications for temporary and permanent variances from those standards. The members of the Indiana Occupational Safety Standards Commission are appointed by the Governor.
Mark will fulfill a role representing the public and work alongside representatives of management and labor in the commission that promulgates rules that impact a wide array of occupational activities that include chemical safety, cranes & derricks, steel erection, and personal protective equipment usage by Hoosier companies.
