Safety Management Group Provides Services to Regions Bank Building Project

 Indianapolis -- Storm damage sustained by the Regions Bank Building in downtown Indianapolis on April 2 resulted in a unique opportunity for Safety Management Group associates to provide their expertise to the architectural firm responsible for making repairs.
Several floors of the building sustained damage as a result of high winds. The debris generated by the damage prompted building owners to temporarily move tenants and the prospect of additional falling debris resulted in several downtown streets being closed.
Late in the afternoon on Thursday, April 6, Safety Management Group's Manager of Business Development Scott Spence was contacted by JungClaus-Campbell, an Indianapolis-based architectural and design firm and asked to perform a site visit to review the company's fall protection strategies for this high profile project.
A visit to the project site on resulted in the client requesting two full-time safety associates for a seven-day-per-week project.
Upon receiving the news of the staffing opportunity, Ron Hanson, Jesse Brazzell, and Randy Gieseking reviewed options to place current associates on the project and located and screened applicants to be hired on a short-term basis. Within hours, Tim Pulliam had accepted a position to assist with the project. Safety Management Group's Mike Martin and Doug Schumann had also offered to perform weekend coverage.
Jose Bello joined the project on Monday and Jesse Brazzell had staff available from his group to fill in as needed. Cory Moore joined the team during the next week as Jose began a shutdown for the Special Projects Group in Joliet, Illinois.
"It was impressive to know that when a building owner and employer of this magnitude needed help in a crunch, they came to the best and we are delivering," commented Kent Burget, president of Safety Management Group.
