Safety Management Group Ranked Among Best Employers

3/1/2008

Indianapolis – Safety Management Group received word late last week that it has been named one of the best places to work in Indiana in the small/medium sized employer category (those employing 25 to 249 employees).

The “Best Places to Work in Indiana” program is sponsored by the Indiana Chamber and is open to all Indiana employers. The annual program started in 2006 and is administered by MondernThink, LLC. Safety Management Group has been recognized among the best employers in 2006, 2007, and now 2008.

“I got chills when I heard the news,” says Kent Burget, President of Safety Management Group. “To be recognized three years in a row by our own associates is a tremendous accomplishment and reflects the type of company that are associates have created.”

The Indiana Chamber of Commerce will announce specific rankings of the 2008 Best Places to Work Finalists on May 7, 2008 in Indianapolis at its second annual awards luncheon for the program.

“Best Place to Work” honorees were determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys, with winners selected in two categories: small to medium-sized companies of between 25 and 249 employees, and large-sized companies consisting of 250 or more employees.

Out-of-state parent companies were eligible to participate if at least 25 full-time employees are in Indiana. The Best Companies Group has overseen similar programs in 18 other states. ModernThink, LLC, a workplace excellence consulting firm, handled the selection process. The basis for this initiative is Fortune magazine's noted “100 Best Places to Work for ” list.

Special thanks to all the associates who participated in the January survey!
