Six Associates Earn CHSP Certification

Indianapolis -- On Thursday June 15th, 2007, the following Safety Management Group associates assigned to the health services team successfully completed the Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) exam:

James T. Tweedy, M.S., CHCM, CHSP, (Web Site) administered a prep course at the Safety Management Group corporate office and followed it with a proctored certification exam on June 16th.
The CHSP (Certified Healthcare Safety Professional) is targeted toward professionals working or consulting in a medical activity (or similar functions) who are charged with responsibility for hazard control activities. Founded in 1978, the CHSP is one of the most respected and recognized Healthcare certifications in existence today. Many of the leading hospitals and healthcare organizations such as the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the American Hospital Association (AHA) have recognized the significance of credentialing their employees and have selected the CHSP as the premier and definitive certification in the field of Healthcare Safety.
