Indianapolis – Dr. Mark Steinhofer has been named account manager for Safety Management Group and will oversee the company’s account assigned providing owner controlled insurance program coverage for a large pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Indianapolis.
Vice President of Owner Services Todd Detro was pleased to have Steinhofer perform this role for the company’s largest account. “I am confident these changes will drive us toward our company mission, vision, and goal,” explains Detro in a correspondence issued to Safety Management Group associates last month.
Steinhofer originally joined Safety Management Group as a Safety Advisor for the Owner Services Group in October 2000 and has served in a lead position within the owner services account for over five years.
Steinhofer earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, a Master degree in Safety Management, and a Doctorate degree in Safety Engineering. He has held positions as a Field Safety Engineer for Danis Environmental Industries (St. Petersburg, FL), and Quality/Safety Engineer for General Electric GE (Louisville, KY).
The account manager role has been performed by Detro since 2002. He will remain in the account to provide overarching and strategic support service and also driving improvements in our safety staffing and consulting services for the client, “This is intended to open up new areas of opportunity where we have expertise and thus bring value to our client in areas outside of the contractor safety realm to focus on being a full service HSE provider,” says Detro.
